Investors offer to sell nearly $200 million in Adani Ports and SEZ bond buyback

Adani Ports and SEZ had in May 2025 said it would offer to repurchase up to $345.1 million [~₹3,194 crore] worth of its 4 per cent bonds due in 2027 and up to $150 million [~₹1,388 crore] worth of its 3.10 per cent bonds due in 2031.

As of 24 February, investors offered to sell back about $101.6 million [~₹940 crore] worth of the 4 per cent bonds and $95.4 million [~₹883 crore] worth of the 3.10 per cent bonds.

Together, that comes to roughly $197 million [~₹1,823 crore], well below the maximum amount the company said it was willing to buy. The company expects to settle these amounts by 27 February.

The company’s offer will remain open until 11 March, unless the company decides to extend or change it.

Adani has raised money from international investors several times in the past, in the form of secured or unsecured borrowings.icon
