Infosys to pay upto $465 million for Optimum Healthcare, $95 million for Stratus

India’s IT services major Infosys Technologies has said that it will acquire Optimum Healthcare, a digital transformation and consulting firm for up to $465 million [~₹4,304 crore]. The acquisition is aimed at strengthening Infosys’ healthcare capabilities in complex clinical and operational environments.

Optimum is a Florida, US-based company with service offerings that include Enterprise Application Services, Digital Transformation, and Workforce Management, which features a skill development program. It is majority owned by private equity investors, founders and management with revenues of $275.9 million [~₹2,554 crore] in financial year 2024-25.

“This investment enhances Infosys’ presence in the provider segment, adding new clients and relationships, expanding technology capabilities, and creating synergies across new buying centers,” the company said in a press release.

Alongside Optimum, (in a separate deal) Infosys is also acquiring Stratus, a technology solutions provider for the property & casualty (P&C) insurance industry which is also based in the US, for $95 million [~₹879 crore].

Both acquisitions are aimed at boosting Infosys’ own products: Topaz AI and Cobalt cloud, and are expected to close during the first quarter of financial year 2027.
