Healthcare delivery company Fortis Healthcare has announced the acquisition of Suguna Hospital in Bengaluru by way of a slump sale for ₹277 crore.
The acquisition has been undertaken by FHL’s wholly-owned subsidiary International Hospital. Commissioned in 2006, Suguna Hospital is a tertiary-care multispeciality hospital that is built on about one acre of land, and has 110 operational beds with a capacity to add another 40 beds.
“The acquisition positions Fortis as amongst the leading healthcare providers in the North-West Bengaluru corridor with approx. 500 potential beds across its existing facility in Rajajinagar, the People Tree facility in Yeshwanthpur and the Suguna Hospital,” the company has said.
In January 2026, Fortis, through its wholly owned subsidiary, acquired the 125-bedded People Tree Hospital in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru, along with an adjacent land parcel, enabling future expansion to over 300 beds, for ₹430 crore.
Fortis operates 37 healthcare facilities (including joint ventures and operations and maintenance facilities) across 12 states. The company’s network comprises over 6,300 operational beds (including O&M beds) and ~400 diagnostics labs.![]()
