Heavy blasts were heard in Tehran on 28 February with Iran saying that it is under attack by the US and Israel.

Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, which host US military bases, said they had faced missile attacks. And the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned retaliatory Iranian missile attacks that targeted the UAE.

French President Emmanuel Macron has called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, stressing the need to halt the escalation in the Middle East. He added that the Iranian regime has no other option but to engage in good faith in negotiations to end its nuclear and ballistic programs.

Indian carriers operating international services have been advised to monitor airspace advisories, NOTAMs, and route restrictions issued by the authorities. Airports across the country, particularly major international gateways, have been placed on operational alert to manage potential flight diversions.

Iran’s Dena destroyer has participated in MILAN 2026 Naval Exercise in India last week which was held with the participation of 72 countries and hosted by the Indian Navy.
